No. Your Senic Kinetic Switch is wireless and batteryless. You stick it on or insert it into an existing GIRA frame, with no electrical work required.
If you place it over an existing wall switch, simply leave your old switch on so that your Hue lamps remain powered. The Senic Switch will then take over control. You don't change anything in your 230V installation for this purpose.
Only if you want to completely remove or replace your old, hard-wired switch is it an electrical installation and should be handled by a qualified electrician. You don't need this for the Senic Switch itself.
Not with the standard Hue settings. There are third-party apps for that, like iConnectHue or Hue Essentials – they turn your switch into a real scene remote.
Routines and hubs like Alexa don't directly support Hue for such switches. However, via the Hue
Bridge, your switch becomes HomeKit-enabled — and can control Sonos, HomePod,
smart plugs, and much more.
The switch is designed for the Hue Bridge (and via Bridge for HomeKit). We have not tested Zigbee products
from other manufacturers — therefore, we do not recommend them.
No problem, to reset it: press top left → hold top right for ~10 sec. →
top right + bottom left simultaneously → top left. Afterwards, briefly check the alignment of the
module.

Senic Kinetic Switch (Indoor)
In four: anthracite, black, glossy white and matt white.
The switch is in the GIRA System 55 design – you can use most frames from this series
series. Tested & confirmed: Berker S1 and Jung A550. Dimensions: 81 × 81 × 17 mm, cutout 55 × 55 mm.
Because of the integrated EnOcean module, only our special Senic rocker switches fit —
not the standard variants.
Yes, the single rocker is included. You can replace it with a double rocker in just a few steps.
Multi-gang frames can be obtained from GIRA or specialized third-party providers.
Senic Kinetic Switch (Outdoor)
IP44 – protected against splashing water from all directions, made for rain, wind, and
sun. Just don't immerse it or use a high-pressure cleaner on it.
From -10 °C to +40 °C — so also in winter.
Approx. 20m indoors, up to 175m in open field.
With the enclosed industrial adhesive dots – adheres to stone, wood, glass, and metal. No
drilling, no wall damage. If you prefer to screw: optional screws (M2.5, countersunk head)
fit.
