1. Download the ‘Save NFC’ App by Senic from the App Store.
2.Go to the content you would like to save onto the Muse Block. This can be a playlist inside the spotify app for example or a web page in a web browser.
3.Click Share and then Copy the link for the content. This process might differ slightly from app to app but you will always want to find the option to copy the link.
4.Switch to the Save NFC App and click Paste
5.Check the link is correct and hit Save. Follow the instructions to save the link onto a Muse Block.
6.Leave the NFC App and hold your phone close to the block to check if it’s working.
1.Make sure your screen is activated
2.Hold your phone within 1cm / 0.4 in of the Muse Block
3.Click on the NFC notification that appears (Apple does this for security reasons)
4.Make sure you have Face ID enabled so you will jump straight to the link that is saved on the muse block
Our NFC App for Android is in development and will be released in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can use a great alternative with the same functionality called “NFC Writer by Trigger” App.
1. Download the “NFC Writer by Trigger” App.
2.Go to the content you would like to save onto a Muse Block. This can be a playlist inside the Spotify app for example or a web page in a web browser.
3.Click Share and then Copy the link for the content. This process might differ slightly from app to app but you will always want to find the option to copy the link.
4.Switch to the Save ‘NFC Writer by Trigger’ App.
5.Click on ‘Web Address’.
6.Now long click onto the empty text box and paste your copied link.
7.Click ‘Write Tag’ and follow the instructions. Note: Some Android phones have the NFC sensor on the upper part of the phone; others in the middle.
8.Leave the App and hold your phone close to the block to check if everything is working.
1.Make sure your screen is activated
2.Hold your phone within 1cm / 0.4 in of the Muse Block
3.Unlock your phone and your phone will jump straight to the link that is saved on the muse block
There are two ways you can solve this:
The reasons this is happening is because of the browser you have installed on the phone. You can download the Firefox browser. Next time you hold your phone to a muse block, you will be asked which browser you want to use to open a block (don’t worry, your default browser for websites won’t change). Select Firefox and also select the option ‘Always’. From now on, your Muse Block should open in the Spotify App.
The second alternative is a little bit more complicated. Spotify actually offers two types of links, a so called “URL” which is what you get from the mobile Spotify app and a “URI” which you can only get from a computer version of the Spotify app. Follow the same procedure to copy a link from Spotify, but this time on your computer. Here, you will have the option to select the URI. Send this URI to your phone and now you can save this URI onto a block. We’re working on a free feature to make this automatically in our app.
While these phones have an NFC sensor inside, Apple does not allow ‘background reading’ which means that your phone does not automatically scan the block.
You will need to use a so called ‘NFC reader app’ everytime you would like to use a block.
iPhone 6s and older generation do not offer NFC capability so you unfortunately you won’t be able to use Muse Blocks with these phones.
